collage in motion: arranging chaos
In the module collage.in.motion we will use found image snippets to create animations. With Collage as an artistic method we have the chance to cut, fragment and paste again to give to the images new meanings. We will research using animated collage the topics of order and chaos, creating poetic (inner) landscapes in form of animations. In the modul we will explore the poetics of visual randomness and learn the basics of animation.
This course will be organised with recorded classes, tutorials, tasks to develop independently and delivery of a final project. There will be some online-meetings also. If you want to attend this course you’ll need a computer with After Effects and/or Photoshop, a Scanner and/or Camera (your phone’s also would do). You will have to have willingness to do some creative cut and paste sessions and work with your hands. To attend you won’t need any previous knowledge of animation. If you have some already, this course would also suit you if you want to experiment with collage.
I will offer online consultations for this course always on Thursdays between 13:30 - 16:45. Other schedules for meetings will be defined afterwards. The course will be offered in English.
