Participants in this – probably all online - project are asked to venture into unchartered areas of media art and design, combining fulldome film, spatial sound and forms of performance for 360-degree environments representing Immersive Media.
Part of the project will involve joining production teams which have conceived episodes for the „Kur Kommander“ series in the Wintersemester.
In an initial Blockseminar May 13-16 participants will join online the Jena FullDome STREAMING Festival, learning from international experts in the field of immersive media and evaluating new fulldome shows.http://www.fulldome-festival.de
The project will then focus on brainstorming and conceptual work for a second run of the 360-degree film and tv-series „Kur Kommander“,exploring the practical and theoretical implications, the technology and esthetic quality of the shift from square, rectangular media to the surround fulldome theatre.
