In this seminar, we will read together the following book, chapter by chapter:
Zeynep Çelik Alexander. Kinaesthetic Knowing : Aesthetics, Epistemology, Modern Design. Chicago ; London: University of Chicago Press, 2017.
There will be a preparatory discussion of the chapters in the fora, and a weekly discussion video meeting. We also look at a few (scientific/artistic) movement experiments more in depth. Participants are asked to partake in these written and oral discussions. For their assignment, they are invited to choose one (scientific/artistic/educational/societal) experiment that tries to understand movement or the knowledge contained in movement.
