We explore theories and practices of walking, especially as they relate to artistic research. Including references to Lucius Burckhardt, Tim Ingold, Walter Benjamin, to the performative walks of 1970’s land artists, to protest marches from the 1960s to today, to Stephanie Springgay and Sarah Truman's Walking Methodologies in a More-than-human World, the course is designed to encourage reflection on walking as a form of creative resistance and social engagement
